Peanut butter is a spread made from ground up dry-roasted peanuts, with a bit of salt and sweeteners added. It was invented by Marcellus Gilmore Edson in 1848. Today it is a spread used on crackers, bread, toast or celery, and as a tasty ingredient in desserts and other dishes. The most popular sandwich, especially in children's school lunches, is a PB&J.

Oh well the main thing is that I did learn about this amazing food and have enjoyed it since. Thanks for sharing all these wacky holidays with us peanut butter lovers, Pat!
