Fun Cat Sayings, Product Reviews

Hello fellow cat lovers. You're purr-fect!

banner
Welcome to my blog that showcases some of my fun cat sayings, that are printed on a variety of products. They can be a gift for yourself, and or for other cat lovers that you know.

This first item is a basic and cute notebook. A simple outline of a cat is drawn and printed on a gray background. The saying is, My cat inspires me. Have you ever had a cat that inspires you? My cat has inspired me to be more active and to also take more naps! Balance is key, she says.

The paper inside notebooks from Zazzle, can be whatever you choose, from ten options. They include college and wide ruled, storybook style, checklist, and more. You can visit the product page to view the different examples.

I had bought a planter and had it sitting in my living room. My cat jumped right in. It was as good as any box! The text says, "Planter cat. No soil required." This fun design is printed on the mug style and color of your choice.

This fun gift is for the dogs. Cats and dogs can be best friends, and this cute pet tag is a purr-fect choice for dogs that have cat best friends.

My favorite one is Trampoline Cats. I might have been inspired by my cats to be more active, but my cats were not inspired to be active on my mini trampoline. They only saw it as a new bed that was just cozy enough for the both of them. This fun design is printed on the tshirt style, size, and color of your choice, for any gender and or age.

All of the above designs were designed by me and can be purchased in my CherylsArt store on Zazzle. Zazzle does the printing and shipping, and offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee that is good for 30 days from the date of your receiving the product(s). I have purchased both mugs and tshirts from Zazzle, and everything turned out great.

Thank you for visiting. May you have a purr-fect rest of your day.

You can browse more cat themed products in my CherylsArt store on Zazzle.

Yard Decorations, Rock and Cement Yard Decor

Many of you know that I create art that I add to online products that people can purchase. Some know that I also create art for my garden. This is my review of this activity.

outdoor decor
My first creation was when I decided that the somewhat large rock, looked like it would make a perfect fun frog! I cleaned up the rock and coated it with an all purpose sealer that is weather resistant. The brand I used is Delta Ceramcoat, but couldn't locate the exact item on Amazon. I did however find Delta Ceramcoat Multi-Surface Paints that are good for a variety of surfaces. Amazon included a variety of paints from Ceramcoat, and I believe I saw one that was weather resistant. I would still use the undercoat sealer and final coat sealer though. I usually add 2-3 coats of the final sealant.

As for another alternative, I would give this sealer from Americana a try. It is listed as weather resistant and is good for both indoor and outdoor.

After I applied the undercoat sealer and let it dry, I commenced with painting the froggy features. He is cool and fun! Then I finished with an outdoor sealer made for acrylic paints. I just use the sealers that you can find in the art section for acrylics. Americana is one of my favorites.

As you can see in the photo above, the frog is back in the corner, and looks pretty cool! He has been outside for years, as of this writing, and the paint hasn't chipped at all. He has sat out in full sun, full weather, and then more recently under the overhang from our roof. He has faired very well!

My next creation was Mr. Turtle. Poor Mr. Turtle. He was my first try at painting on cement, which wasn't the real issue. The problem was, I think, that Mr. Turtle was hollow inside. So although he was pretty easy to move around weight wise, his surface didn't hold up. I thought he was going to do as well as Mr. Frog. But oh well. I did apply the various coatings, and gave him a cool look.

outdoor decor

He looked pretty good while he was still indoors. But the weather was too much for this hollow critter. I do plan to put some spackling on his back and maybe give him an abstract bandage. We'll see!

Onto Miss. Colorful Bird. This piece is also cement but is solid through. I did not have the issues with this that I had with Mr. Turtle. I don't know if different companies use different types of cement or not, or if it was just from not being solid. I believe I got Mr. Turtle from a garden center; it may have been Lowes. I purchased the bird from Target.

Anyway, Miss Colorful Bird still looks beautiful. Her painted feathers has been outdoors for months now, and she is still looking good. I have not sat her out in full weather like I did Mr. Frog. I hesitate after seeing what happened to Mr. Turtle. So everyone from now on is being placed under the overhang from the roof.

If you were to venture in to painting some outdoor decor for show, I would recommend to buy more solid pieces, or keep the piece indoors. As with all of them, I do recommend a sealer for porous surfaces that are meant for acrylic artistic paints. I have not used the paint meant for houses. And then finish with a final sealer of 2-3 coats. The main paint that I used is from Americana, which is a multi-surface paint, but doesn't not mention being weather resistant, so it will definitely need to be sealed.

If you are looking for concrete animals to paint, you can check out this page on Amazon. There are a variety of options there, including flat type stones. I did not have good luck with that and would recommend choosing something thicker and more solid. Customers have had a good experience with concrete items purchased from Stone Freedom on Amazon.

Happy painting.

Colorful Raised Beds for Gardening

I have been gardening for decades and my desires on how I garden have changed over the years.

Without going into all the background; the short of it is that I prefer gardening in raised beds. I'm also a lover of colors; my latest purchases for my expanding garden area, are colorful raised beds.

garden beds

Last year I had my old fence around my garden replaced with a black chain linked fence. The inground border that I had around my fruit and vegetable garden, became obsolete. It was no longer evenly spaced from the fence, and there was no way I wanted to resize it, and pull the weeds that had popped up from last year.

I gave it some thought as to what I might do to make gardening life easier on myself. I knew I preferred gardening in raised beds; I had so much more control on the soil that I gardened with, and it was just easier to reach whatever needed reaching.

In my search for raised bed options that I could place around the perimeter of my newly fenced in garden, I happened upon metal raised beds that came in colors! I was pretty much sold on it, but did do my diligent research. After much searching and contemplation, I decided on raised beds from Plant and Plot. You can see three of the colors that I purchased in the photo above. I also purchased two orange raised beds that are smaller.

The raised beds from Plant and Plot come in a variety of sizes, and shapes. The initial size that you order will determine whether or not there are other shapes to build from that kit. With this smaller raised bed kit, it only had the one option, a small rectangle. This finished bed measures 4 x 2 x 1.5 feet. It comes with stabilizing cords that are anchored from one side and are stretched across to the other side. All of the side and end pieces in this kit are to be screwed together. All tools are included in each kit, including the Alan wrench for installing the screws.

By the way, these have an open bottom. They are listed as weather resistant, rust proof, and are made of galvanized metal. I covered each section of ground with cardboard for several days or more to help kill off the weeds and such, before installing the raised beds.

See Small Raised Bed from Plant and Plot store on Amazon

As mentioned, the larger size offers various configurations to choose from. This particular kit that I ordered offered 9 configurations; however, you will only have enough end pieces to build one unit from the kit.

I did however find an option to purchase a 6.4 x 2 x 1.5 size kit. I used this option to build my purple raised beds. For the blue raised beds, I ordered the 8 x 2 x 1.5 size, and just used two less side panels to build those.

The larger size units, came with bendable flaps that fit into the holes of the panel installed next to it. The top, middle, and bottom holes are attached with screws and nuts the whole way. The flaps had to be lined up first though, and some of the flaps needed to be bent out more to line up correctly. I used the end of a Phillips head screwdriver to lift the end of the flap upward, away from the panel, to achieve this. Although the image in the instructions showed someone bending these flaps downward by hand, when attaching it to the next panel, I found that I needed a rubber handled tool to help do the job. That allowed me to press the flap down without slipping off of the metal flap.

The larger sized beds also had rods to install from side to side to help stabilize the bed, rather than the tension cords. This depends on the which configuration you want to build though. Overall, I was able to do it. I got most of them put together without any assistance.

One major note, if it is a windy day, it is best to build where the wind isn't and then move the bed to the desired installation location. I ended up building some of mine in the basement and then my husband and I moved them to the outdoors.

Another note, it is really best and easier if you're not trying to install these on a slope. It can require some extra digging to get the raised bed to sit down further on one end than the other, and level it out. I can honestly say that I got one of my raised beds completely level! Yay me.

Some of the installation was more time consuming than others, but once I got the hang of it, it went pretty well. I did end up ordering more, in various sizes, a total of ten in all.

This link will take you to the Plant and Plot raised bed page on Amazon. Other styles and other companies' raised beds are displayed there as well, where you can browse and see which ones you are drawn to.

Happy gardening.

Rainbow Designs

I love rainbow designs; I like seeing the different colors on various products. They seem to brighten things up.

sticker

Years ago, I had made a new design and showed it to my daughter who was in middle school at the time. She told me, Mom, that's what the LGBTQ uses. I wasn't sure what she meant. I was just making a design of the rainbow, like I had done before.

Needless to say, that didn't stop me. I've made a bunch more rainbow designs since then. And I want to say, that rainbows and rainbow colors are for everyone; just in case there was ever any question. Sometimes kids can attach extra meaning to a thing, and adults can too. So again, it's okay to wear rainbow colors and designs, and to enjoy the rainbow colors on whatever they are on. You get to decide if any design has any kind of meaning to you.

I had fun creating the rainbow peace sign hand. I used my own hand as a model, put on a latex glove that was tight fitting, placed my hand into the rainbow paint colors and made a peace sign with it. I filled in the unprinted areas, and voila, my peace sign hand print looked cool!

Here it is printed on stickers. Zazzle, the print on demand company I work in association with, offers seven different sticker shapes. This design can also be purchased on magnets, mugs, canvas tote bags, tshirts, aprons, hats, throw pillows, posters, mousepads, pin on buttons, keychains, coasters, postcards, necklaces, sweatshirts, address labels, and guitar picks. Zazzle has even more products to choose from. Many designs can be easily transferred to a different product, once you are on the product page.

Since different people can come up with different meanings for different things, I decided to use the rainbow colors to represent recycled spirits. It's a take on a recycled symbol, incorporating the rainbow colors. I believe in reincarnation, so it made sense that we are all recycled spirits. This unique design is currently printed on canvas tote bags, hats, and tshirts, as of the date of this writing.

Some of my rainbow designs are more spread out, color wise. Here I used the rainbow colors to fill in guitar shapes I had drawn. Here it is printed on address labels. Additional items include pens, mugs, clocks, and more.

I especially like how the word Peace looks, using cutout font letters on one of my rainbow background paintings. Here it is printed on tshirt ornaments. There are a total of five different ornament shapes to choose from on Zazzle.

Here a basic rainbow blend is printed on six inch rulers. It is also available on the 12 inch ruler size as well.

I hope you enjoyed this sampling of my various rainbow designs. You can visit this link to check out all the rainbow designs that I currently have in my CherylsArt store on Zazzle, here: https://www.zazzle.com/store/CherylsArt/rainbow. You will also find rainbow polka dots, mosaics, hearts, Easter eggs, love hands (sign language), teddy bears, butterflies, and raindrops.

I have purchased cards, stickers, canvas bags, address labels, business cards, and more from Zazzle. All of the products have been printed on quality materials and the colors look great. Zazzle has a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee, that states: "If you are not satisfied for any reason with any qualified* product you purchase you may return your purchase for a replacement, credit or refund within 30 days of receipt." Restrictions apply to some items, like face masks and stitch files. They go into the details on this on their Return Policy page. You can find the link for that at the bottom of the product pages.

Thank you for visiting. May you have a blessed day.

Purple Blue Monogram Design - Product Review

This is a purple and blue abstract leaf design on a blended yellow background. I designed it so that all of the leaves are pointing towards the center opening of yellow.

note card

I love how this design turned out. I started out by making various leaf designs, trying different techniques. The other designs were different shades of lavender and purple backgrounds. They didn't quite fit what I was after so I moved on. Then I decided to play around with my paints and squirted some purple on my printing area, and my eye caught sight of the bold vivid blue. Voila. Perfect!

"And they go with yellow," I thought. I painted a yellow background. At first, I had the leaves come off from one side, kind of flowing towards the center. And then I just kept going. "That's right, pointing towards the center, towards the area of importance," I thought. Then I kept filling in the outer edges, making the border look full and lush. That's it!

This design is perfect for anything of importance; i.e. monograms, name, address, letter writing - whatever the case shall be.

The first product I designed with this was business cards. All of the main information is on the front of the card. I made the back of the card, solid yellow. It coordinates with the front of the business card, and can also easily be located if the card is mixed in with other cards, by it's bold and vibrant back.

All of the text areas on any of these products can be easily customized on the provided template forms.

I always purchase my business cards from Zazzle. Early on, there was a mess up on one of my business cards order, but Zazzle readily replaced them. Everything has worked out great since then.

You can choose from matte and glossy finishes for the various card typs on Zazzle, and also from various card stocks which come in an assortment of colors, textures, and finishes.

On the note cards, I enclosed the border design tighter around the center, making it perfect for a short name or monogram. The border design on the back of the note card is spread out to allow an open writing area.

I have purchased a variety of cards from Zazzle, and they have all turned out lovely. The colors are crisp and the card stock has always been great.

I used the same idea with the border being spread out on the lined stationery. The design is the same on both sides here.

I used the same mindset when designing the luggage tags, as I did for the note cards. One side is for the monogram, and the other side is for the contact info.

Overview of TrendyFlipFlops on Zazzle

This is the seventh of a seven part series of my various stores on Zazzle.

This store is called TrendyFlipFlops and it is all about flipflops. The categories are all about the type of design.

The design categories are:

Abstract Flip Flops: You will find a selection of my abstract designs which includes both dark and bright options.

Animal Flip Flops: Flying pink pigs, and kaliedoscope cats are the options so far in this one.

Autumn Flip Flops: Here you will find an assortment of leaves and pumpkin designs.

Beach Flip Flops: When you browse beach flip flops, you will find beach scenes, and also colorful beach balls.

Bride Flip Flops: There are a variety of designs that will work great for weddings; however there is no specific wedding category. There is a bride category though. These flip flops can be customized. Many brides are choosing comfort over style when it comes to their feet on their wedding day. I think that's pretty cool.

Butterfly Flip Flops: These butterflies might be considered more abstract, but I figured they'd be easier to find if I placed them in a Butterfly category.

Christmas Flip Flops: Flip flops are considered a warm weather shoe or sandal. For those who find themselves in a warm weather location over the Christmas and winter holidays, their flip flops can still fit the season.

Floral Flip Flops: Here you will find a mix of realistic, photo, and abstract designs.

Fruit Flip Flops: As of the writing of this blog, the current choices are lemons, realistic pineapples, and more artistic pineapples.

New Products: As mentioned in my earlier blogs about my various stores on Zazzle, the New Products category is automatically assigned by Zazzle. There are usually no products in this category, unless I happen to assign a category when designing a product.

Patriotic Flip Flops: Here you will find a couple of fireworks designs, and a star pattern design in red, white, and blue.

Patterns and Shapes: The Patterns and Shapes category was growing. Instead of making subcategories for this, I made two additional categories; one being Polka Dot Flip Flops, and the other one being Striped Flip Flops. The remaining designs in this category includes hearts, circles, weave patterns, and more.

Polka Dot Flip Flops: There are several colors to choose from here, and also a couple of black and white designs.

Striped Flip Flops: There are a variety of striped patterns and colors to choose from here. This is my favorite striped pattern. It reminds me of the straight swirled candies that you can find in places like Cracker Barrel.

These categories are displayed on my landing page for my TrendyFlipFlops store.

I hope you have enjoyed finding out about my various Zazzle stores, and that my overviews have helped or will help you find what you are looking for.

Overview of ScrapbookBackgrounds on Zazzle

This is the sixth of a seven part series of my various stores on Zazzle.

This store features my designs on double sided paper, rubber stamps, and custom binders that can be used for this fun and creative scrapbooking craft. Besides scrapbooking, these fun paper choices can be used in card making, creating vision boards, and more. What might you make with scrapbook paper?

Scrapbook Paper
Scrapbook Paper

New Products:

The first category listed in this store is New Products, which is a catch category in case I didn't already select a category when I designed the product. This category is automatically included by Zazzle.

The remaining categories are Scrapbook Albums, Scrapbook Paper, and Scrapbooking Stamps.

Scrapbook Albums:

Binders are used for the scrapbook albums and they can also be used as photo albums. So far, there are options for baby, graduation, and wedding. There aren't any subcategories at this point. The main design is on the front, and parts of that design are included on the spine and back. The graduation binder is an example.

Scrapbook Paper:

There are a variety of subcategories in the Scrapbook Paper section. I did not include a specific subcategory for Wedding, as many of the blends, heart designs, patterns, etc., can be used for wedding backgrounds as well as for other themes and events, as in this turquoise polka dot option. I can see this being a pretty background design for a turquoise or teal themed wedding or even as stationery.

As of this writing, the current subcategories are: Abstract, Affirmations, Animal Prints, Autumn, Baby, Blends, Blue, Christmas, Floral, Graduation, Halloween, Heart, Patterns and Shapes, Peace, Pink, Rustic and Vintage, Shamrock, Swirl, and Turquoise.

There can be quite a few that overlap in these subcategories; you may want to search for a particular color, design type, etc., to help locate the design theme that you are looking for.

Scrapbook Stamps:

These are rubber stamps, used for stamping. There are a variety of designs here to choose from, but currently no subcategories. It is just shy of having more than one page of items to peruse. When ordering a rubber stamp and looking a product page, Zazzle will show you the colors of ink pads that are available for purchase.

Quite a few of these designs are outline designs, which one can color in whenever they are making their paper craft design. For instance, the umbrella drawing can be used for a rainy day card, or a scrapbook featuring baby. The umbrella and handle can be colored in, by hand, to coordinate with whatever you are creating.

A lot of these backgrounds can be found in the scrapbook paper in paperbacks that I designed using Canva. I have posted these paperbacks on Amazon through KDP. Many of the designs in the paperbacks are further embellished with different items from Canva. You can check out my index of these paperback books here for your scrapbooking and other paper creation desires: Cheryl Paton Scrapbook Paper.

Thank you for visiting. Your comments and questions are welcome. Happy scrapbooking.

Overview of PositiveAffirmation on Zazzle

This is the fifth of a seven part series of my various stores on Zazzle.

positiveaffirmation

This store is called PositiveAffirmation. I already had an Affirmation category in my CherylsArt store on Zazzle; however, it kept growing. To keep things cleaner, I created another store, also featuring affirmation products. My intent was to have all new designs in this new store, but I inadvertently had some overlap. For the most part though, the designs in these two stores are mostly unique to each of these stores.

The categories, so far, in my PositiveAffirmation store on Zazzle are:

Apparel and Accessories:

Here you will find Aprons, Belt Buckles, Pin on buttons, Hats, Necklaces, Ties, Tote Bags, and Tshirts.

Some of the designs in this store are simple one word affirmations. The words are usually made from a cutout letter font, featuring a photo of some of my flowers for the inside of each outlined letter. I think they give an extra added appeal to the affirmation.

Home, Pets, Car:

The Home, Pets, Car category includes, Car (products), Clocks, Keychains, Kitchen, Luggage Tags, Ornaments, Pillows, Posters, Signs, Tiles, and Wall Art.

I usually write in an affirmation, but on this particular design, I made a template that is to be filled in with the person's own favorite affirmation. I know that using a mirror when reciting my affirmations have proven to be very helpful, and wanted to encourage others to try the same method. I designed the artwork for the mirror.

New Products:

The New Products category is automatically an option by Zazzle, assigning any newly created product here, if the designer doesn't already give the new product a category, when designing it. This category is usually empty.

Office and School:

This category includes Binders, Business Cards, Dry Erase Boards, Mousepads, Notebooks, and Stickers.

An affirmation can serve as subtle reminders each time we see it, i.e. when we see it on our notebook.

Sports, Toys, and Games:

As of this writing, there are only two items in this Category, so there are no subcategories as of yet. At some time, there will be more. Your suggestions and requests are welcome. As well as any requests for other categories too.

Stationery:

The Stationery category includes Address Labels, Cards, Notepads, Postcards, and Stationery.

Address labels may be thought of as pretty small for an affirmation, however a simple reminder to Give Thanks can be a timely reminder for Thanksgiving, as well as throughout the year.

Thank you for your visit, comments, and or sharing too.

Overview of MazePuzzles on Zazzle

This is the fourth of a seven part series of my various stores on Zazzle.

The store that I'm reviewing here is MazePuzzles. I already had a Birthday category in my CherylsArt store on Zazzle; however, I knew that I wanted to make a variety of maze puzzle themes, so I went with creating a store for just this theme. Another thing that sets this store apart from my CherylsArt store, is that I used very little of my own artwork in designing these maze puzzles. I created most of these puzzle designs from designs on Canva, of which I subscribe to.

yard sign

In my MazePuzzles store, I show the Collections first on the landing page; these are sorted alphabetically by theme, followed by product type. A design theme collection is the perfect place to look if you're planning a themed birthday party. There you will find all the different products for that particular theme.

The product type collection is the perfect place to look if you know you just want a birthday card, or want to see all the different designs in one easy to look at place.

Here are how the product categories are arranged in my MazePuzzles store.

Birthday Maze Greeting Cards:

It's great seeing all the different maze puzzles pictured in one easy to view location. It can help you decide which maze puzzle you want to go with. The maze puzzles not only include different animals and such, the puzzle themselves range from pretty easy to somewhat harder.

The Monkey and Bananas maze can be considered easy or hard, depending on whether the overlapping vines might offer just some added fun or confusion!

Birthday Maze Invitations:

Here is another option for inviting your guests. The invitations differ from the greeting cards, as there was enough room to add the party details to the front of the cards.

Birthday Maze Notepads:

Birthday Maze Notepads can be a fun addition to a maze puzzle themed birthday party. All the kids can work a puzzle while they're waiting for cake to be served, or in between game playing, etc. The notepads are 5.5 inches by 6 inches and there are 40 sheets per pad, making it easy for kids to try again should their sheet get messed up. A larger, 8.5 by 11 inch option is available, but the purchasers would need to edit their selection to get the whole design to fit within the printing area.

Birthday Maze Paper Plates:

The maze puzzles are offered on the 7 inch square paper plates. The square can also be ordered on 9 inch. There are also round plates offered in the same sizes as the square plates, and also a round 7 inch bowl.

Birthday Maze Postcards:

The postcards can be used instead of greeting cards or invitations, to invite the guests. It can save on paper usage and possibly postage.

Birthday Maze Napkins:

The maze theme is printed on paper napkins. All of the items in this store are easy to personalize using the provided template forms.

Maze Puzzle Paper Cups:

The maze puzzle design is just printed on one side of the paper cups. Having hosted birthday parties before at an art store, I could just imagine young kids turning their cups all around to view the maze puzzle from alternate sides, and then you know what might happen next. Anyway, I decided to go with the one sided view!

Birthday Maze Yard Signs:

The yard signs are a fun way to show guests where the party is. These signs are printed on lightweight, weather resistant, corrugated plastic, that is 4 mm thick. They are listed to last for 6-9 months for outdoor use, depending on weather conditions. They come in a choice of shapes, including circle, house, helmet, and arrow. Various sizes are offered for the different shapes. You may need to edit to get the design to fit into whichever shape and or size that you select.

Do you have a favorite design so far? There are actually eight different maze puzzle designs in all. You'll have to visit the store to see them all.

Did you think of any other product that you might desire for a maze themed birthday party? Let me know in a comment below. Thank you.

Overview of Custom Flash Cards on Zazzle

This is the third of a seven part series of my various stores on Zazzle. I'm going through them alphabetically.

When I went into private practice as a literacy tutor for adults, I looked around for various teaching tools that weren't geared towards kids. There was very little to choose from. I used to design worksheets for students, including word search puzzles and more, to help my students have something they could do to help reinforce their newly learned skills.

alphabet
I had made a few basic flash card for learning basic words, for those that were more at the beginning level. After I left that, and started creating art and the like on Zazzle, I got the idea to design flash cards for reading, that were geared towards adult learners.

I included a photo or artwork on one side and customizable text on the reverse side.

Here are the categories in my Custom Flash Cards store on Zazzle.

Adjectives Reading Flashcards:

Adjectives are words that are used to describe a noun, a thing, such as a fuzzy peach.

Adverbs Reading Flashcards:

Adverbs are words that are used to describe a verb, a type of action, such as how quickly the tiger turned towards the noise.

Alphabet Cards:

The Alphabet Cards are not flashcards, but are tutorial cards for the alphabet. It shows directional arrows on the letters, to help students to master the writing of each letter. The majority of students that I worked with already new the alphabet, but those who are true beginners can appreciate a tutorial that is geared for adult learners.

Animal Reading Flashcards:

The Animal Reading Flashcards category features a variety of animals, from wildlife to domestic animals.

DIY Flashcards:

The DIY Flashcards category features basic instructions on one side of the flashcard, and a placeholder for the purchaser to upload their photo on the reverse side.

Floral Reading Flashcards:

The Floral Reading Flashcards features a variety of flowers, including a surprise of the word MOM spelled out with flowers. I do not have a Holiday category at this point, but that might be a good idea to do.

Food Reading Flashcards:

This category features a variety of food items including fruit, vegetables, a couple of entrees including pizza, and desserts.

Insect Reading Flashcards:

This category features common insects in the United States. If you have a request for an insect that is unique to your area, do let me know in a comment below.

Love Cards:

The Love Cards are not flashcards, but offer a couple of options to students that want to express their love to someone, with something that is personal to them.

New Products:

This category is automatically assigned by Zazzle, if a specialized category isn't already picked upon designing of the new product. This category is normally empty.

Number Flashcards:

These number flashcards feature artwork of an item that has something that can be counted, along with the numerical number and the word for that number, on one side, and just the word for the number on the reverse side. The text can be easily customized should the tutor want to use these flashcards for a different purpose.

Personalized Family Flashcards:

The Personalized Family Flashcards are to help the student recognize words that can describe a family member. The purchaser is to upload a different photo from the student, so that these cards can be personal to them. Any of these cards can be personalized with different text, and for relatives and or friends that haven't been already specifically made; i.e. any flashcard with a female photo on it can be used to make a card for an aunt.

Places Reading Flashcards:

This category represents common places, like a ball field; a well known place, like the Eiffel Tower.

Transportation Reading Flashcards:

These flashcards features different types of transportation, and even a drawing of a space shuttle for those who are interested in space.

Verbs Reading Flashcards:

Verbs describe a type of action, such as this flashcard for hand washing.

I had an adult student ask me to go over the various words that could be found on restrooms. I had never paid much attention to them before, but did do a search of this special request. On one restroom for women, the word used was Sheilas. Not at all what most people may expect when they're out an about and want to use the appropriate restroom for them.

So there you have it. If you know anybody who can benefit from these cards, whether they be tutors or learners, do pass this blog along to them. Thank you.

Overview of CherylsArtPhotos on Zazzle

This is the second of a seven part series of my various stores on Zazzle.

If anyone has a store on Zazzle that is getting to big, it can be helpful to make a separate store that features designs that aren't currently in the original store. Since my original store was all about my artwork, I decided to make the photos that I was wanting to use, be in a separate store. This method can also help customers more easily find what they are looking for; as there is less categories to look through.

I don't have near the amount of photos that I do of my artwork, so it is easier to navigate. As of the writing of this blog, there are only nine categories in CherylsArtPhotos on Zazzle. Although there are only nine categories, there are a wider variety of the different photo types. They can include animals, fireworks, flowers, floral peace signs, insects, scenes, trees, wood, and more.

The categories that I decided to have are:

Apparel and Accessories:

I love this beautiful photo of when my pink azaleas were in full bloom along the neighbors back wall. I thought this beauty would have been popular on a variety of products, but the main one that sells is on men's ties. Cool!

Sometimes photos are the way to go!

The sub-categories in this section are Ties, Tote Bags, and Tshirts.

Celebrations:

Although I used a bit of my artwork to top off the groundhog, it is more photo than artwork, so this critter got assigned to CherylsArtPhotos. Did you know that Groundhog Day is always on February 2nd?

There are not many items in this category, so there are not sub-categories to see here.

Holidays:

I have always been a cat lover and have created a variety of designs inspired by a number of my cats. Sometimes, the photo is just cute enough to leave things as they are. Here, my cat Tori is exploring her present. This photo is printed on downloadable cards, if you happen to be ordering close to the holiday.

The various holiday items only take up one page, so there is also no sub-categories for this section.

Home and Sewing:

Home and Sewing includes a variety of sub-categories. They are: Clocks, Doormats, Fabric, Kitchen and Dining, Magnets, Nail Art, Notepads, Shower Curtains, Throw Pillows, Tiles, and Wall Art. The Kitchen and Dining sub-category actually has sub-sub-categories.

This pretty black eyed susan photo looks great on mugs. The mugs can be easily personalized on the provided template form.

I currently have two mugs that I purchased from Zazzle. The artwork looks great, as does the finish on them. They wash up great in the dishwasher.

New Products:

The New Products category is actually assigned by Zazzle if you don't already choose a category when designing your product.

Office and School:

There are three sub-categories in Office and School. They are Business Cards, Mousepads, and Pens.

Sports, Toys, and Games:

The Sports, Toys, and Games section also has a variety of sub-categories. They are: Cornhole Games, Jumbo Fast Four, Pickleball Paddles, Playing Cards, and Puzzles. As you can see, the store designer and fine tune how they choose to make their categories, sub-categories, etc. If I had a lot of items in this section, the sub-categories would have been more general in nature.

Stationery:

There are six sub-categories in the Stationery section. They are: Address Labels, Cards, Post It Notes, Postcards, Stationery, and Stickers.

Floral and scenic postcards seem to be a popular choice.

Travel:

The Travel section has two sub-categories. They are Luggage and Luggage Tags.

I hope you enjoyed the overview of CherylsArtPhotos on Zazzle. Any of the product links above will take you to my CherylsArtPhotos store on Zazzle. To search this store, choose a link that says CherylsArtPhotos; once there, you can do a search for what you are looking for by looking for the search box below the header.

May you have a great day and may you find what you are looking for.
