Halloween is a favorite time to decorate your house and yard, most especially if you are like my daughter-in-law who goes 'all out'. Their outside yard décor is so elaborate and fantastic that they have even won local 'Halloween Decoration' contests in the past.
But it is 'inside the home' that can lend itself to creating a Halloween atmosphere limited only by your imagination. You can go scary with ghosts and goblins, skeletons and spiders, or sweetly seasonal with pumpkins, or cute with black cats and bats.
The following are a few ideas to get you started. They are the creative results of fellow handmade artists on Etsy.

There is no doubt about it that we love decorating for Halloween. Every year I see more and more outside decorations. We also decorate inside every year with the help of our grandsons. I love all of your ideas, so many great choices. Thanks Pat!
ReplyDeleteThank YOU, Sam. I am delighted you enjoyed visiting my Halloween decoration ideas. Thanks for your visit.
DeleteLove the little black cat! Great ideas to make the holiday decorations unique.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit, Tracey. I loved that little black cat the minute I saw it. Of all our pets over the years, my favorite was our black cat Spooky and this wooden black cat reminds me of her. :)
DeleteThere are so many wonderful ways to add a little whimsey to your holiday decor. These are all really nice and would fit into anyone's household. You never get too old to celebrate, so let's start now! Thanks Pat. and I love the little back cat too!
ReplyDeleteHalloween decor can take any form, Olivia. It's a fun time to let your imagination run wild! Thanks for your visit.
DeleteHalloween is definitely a fun time to decorate! I love all of the decorations you have featured Elf. Those bats all over the wall made me laugh and the wooden black cat is adorable. You already know how much I love your useful handmade crocheted kitchen decor. That decorated yard is totally awesome! Makes me want to drive around and look at Halloween decorations to get in the "spirit".
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mouse. That decorated yard is my son & DIL's. They go 'all out' The Mausoleum was new last year - my son built it at his wife's request. He even made it 'foldable' for storage. :) They add to it every year. The house 'inside' is equally as fabulous.
DeleteThis year, when many people won’t be trick or treating or going to Halloween parties and will be celebrating at home instead, it’s especially challenging to get into the All Hallows’ Eve spirit. I love the idea of indoor Halloween decorations, and especially love that your featured recommendations are all handmade, so purchases support the makers.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree, Margaret. I love to support handmade. My daughter-in-law is busy decorating her house (as she always does because she LOVES Halloween), as she needs the atmosphere especially since they cannot have their usual Halloween Party this year. :). If you noticed the picture of the outdoor decorations at the bottom of this article, those are all handmade by her and my son over the years and that's their yard!
DeleteI love handmade items. That table runner is really gorgeous. That would look excellent on my dining room table. I haven't decorated at all yet - yikes, this post is the push I need. Tomorrow is the day I hope.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit, Barbara. Halloween is coming up again soon! :)
