Set of Stainless Steel Stackable Magnetic Measuring Spoons Reviewed

Set of Stainless Steel Stackable Magnetic Measuring Spoons Reviewed
I have always enjoyed cooking, but there are times when it is more of a job than a joy. Having the right tools in any endeavor can make a world of difference in the overall experience.  It was truly shocking for me to discover how much these particular measuring spoons improved my attitude.  I had not previously realized how much I was struggling with my older measuring spoons.

I am no longer a spring chicken, but I embrace my age and appreciate the good things about being at retirement age.  Still, there are a few things I miss when cooking.  I can't read small numbers without reading glasses or a magnifying glass.  My hands are not as steady as they once were.  I have aches and pains from standing too long now.  Plus, I seem to get annoyed by insignificant stuff more easily.  The latter issue is most likely a result of the previous 3 issues.  I hate not being able to easy sail through the preparation of a recipe or meal.

Lest you think I am complaining, I am not.  I recognize these are simple inconveniences, not problems.  I am only explaining in advance why the measuring spoons matter.

Stainless Steel Stackable Magnetic Measuring Spoons - Set of 6

There are many reasons why I love these measuring spoons and think everyone should have a set. Whether you cook often or only occasionally, you will want the best measuring utensils available.  These are the best measuring spoons and here is why:

Because I have found these measuring spoons make such a huge difference for me, I own two sets.  Being able to see the measurement labels without the aid of reading glasses, plus not having to hold the measuring spoon in one hand, while I pour ingredients with the other hand, makes the task extremely easy.

As incredible as it may sound, these measuring spoons make me feel like a spring chicken in my kitchen again.  Attitude affects the whole process!

  1. You had me with two features right away - stainless steel and 'easy-to-read labels'. I have a set of plastic measuring spoons in white. I like them, except they tend to scatter in the drawer. But the labels are tiny raised numbers in white. Yep, white-on-white! Literally impossible to read. Every single time I have to hold the measuring spoons under a bright light and angle it back and forth until I can make out the 1/2 tsp or 1/4 tsp. Ridiculous! I think you may have just solved my problem with this review. Thank you, Mouse.

  2. It is the simple pleasures in life, right? I remember going through my mother's kitchen after she passed away and selecting a few items that would make my life easier in baking and preparing food. I didn't need anything big that she owned... just a few small things. So, I get how something like measuring spoons can be pleasing to you. If it can make me feel like a spring chicken, hey, I'm buying it! Been a while since I felt that way. Thanks for the recommendation.

  3. Good morning! I am supposed to be busy with paperwork but I wanted to say that I was SO frustrated measuring spices for the cowboy candy. I had no idea there were elongated measuring spoons that would fit into those jars! Thank you for writing this review! I'm so glad to know about these spoons.

  4. What a great idea! I am always losing my measuring spoons. This makes it much easier to keep organized and making cooking quicker.

  5. I'm right there with you on this one Cynthia. Cooking is much easier with the correct tools and these look so handy. I'm always rooting through my kitchen drawer trying to find the right measuring spoon. I'm going to get myself a set as soon as I finish this comment! Thanks!

  6. Mouse, we obviously have the same criteria when it comes to measuring spoons! I keep multiple sets, since I like to measure all my ingredients and set them out ("mise en place") before I start cooking and, especially baking, and often recipes will call for the same volume of multiple ingredients (often a mixture of wet and dry). I have four sets, 3 sets of regular size measuring spoons (two with round bowls and one with elongated bowls to get into spice jars), plus a mini set for measuring amounts smaller than 1/8 teaspoon. Even so, I'm tempted to add this set to my collection! I wish I had known about them sooner. I love the fact that they sit level, especially since I measure and set out my ingredients before starting a recipe, and that they stack and stay together with magnets. The biggest advantage over any of my current sets is the large, high-contrast, easy-to-read measurement labels! Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful find.

  7. Oh I think I have found something that I really need in my kitchen thanks to you Miss Mouse. We have measuring spoons that I would like to toss out the window. They are difficult to use and always end up on the floor. Now these seem to make a whole lot of sense to me for all the reasons you mentioned. I will be looking into getting a set or two for my kitchen very soon! Thank you!

  8. I could use a set of these. I have these cheap plastic ones that have the measurement numbers fading off and I struggle to read them - plus these being magnetic, keeping them together would be helpful for me too - mine are always coming apart!
