In true Brad Paisley style, the song is mixed with charm, captivating cuteness and passion. There's something different about the approach to this one. As a woman listening to the song, it really makes you think about what it's like to be appreciated and accepted for both your good and bad qualities by the one you love.
(Lyrics) She Destroys Me in that T-Shirt!
The lyrics talk about how he loves her so much it hurts! Everything about her is what he adores; her highs are high and her lows are low, and he's o.k. with that. He can make her laugh or make her mad, and he loves her no matter her mood, even if she's angry.
(Lyrics) She's Sunshine Mixed with a Little Hurricane
As I talk about in a more in-depth song review of 'Perfect Storm', I had to laugh when I first heard this lyric because my husband pretty much describes me this way. Sometimes he's too smart when I get angry with him, he knows how to diffuse the situation pretty quickly (when he wants to)! He'll look at me and announce 'that's why I love you!' <---sheesh, gets me smiling even when I wasn't planning on it!Personally speaking, I find the song incredibly soothing. For some crazy reason, it cheers me up; but Brad Paisley has an effect on the listener in just about everything he writes and sings!
Hope you enjoy the song as well:

Brad Paisley has always been a favorite of mine and he's definitely done it again with Perfect Storm. What a great love song. Thanks for sharing this wonderful review.
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan, I have a feeling he'll be getting another number 1 out of this song :)
DeleteIs this a new song? I've not heard it before. What a great theme for a song... the perfect storm.
ReplyDeleteIt is a new song for Brad, he released it in August from his latest album 'Moonshine in the Trunk' - it's already charted, and climbing the charts - I'll go out on a limb and say he has another number one coming with this one :)
DeleteWhat a great song! We could only hope our sweethearts feel that way about us. I know my husband would describe me as a hurricane at times, mostly in the past though. The "t-shirt" for me was one of his old flannel shirts that I grabbed originally to wear until I formally dressed for a wedding. I had neglected to pack my robe and I needed a cover up for about an hour. That was approx. 24 years ago and yes, I still own the flannel shirt and he still talks about how it looks better on me than it ever did on him. That is not true, but I 'll just let him think that :)
ReplyDeleteCynthia, lol! I can just picture the whole thing unfolding! So great that you kept the t-shirt too, what a wonderful keepsake. It's funny how they like to see us in their shirts - so long as he doesn't wear mine of course, lol!
DeleteI like Paisley, but I hadn't heard this song yet. Thank you so much for sharing this.
