The Best Travel Toiletry Bag for Women Is a Bargain!

I've purchased a lot of travel toiletry bags over the years to accommodate my makeup, makeup brushes, skin care, shampoo, hair styling products (such as heat protectant), deodorant, face and body sunscreen, toothbrush and toothpaste, etc. None of them worked well for me until I tried the NISHEL travel toiletry bag for women.

I'm delighted to share this excellent find. Here's my product review of this lightweight and large capacity toiletry organizer that folds down compactly when not in use.

I've purchased quite a few travel toiletry bags in my quest for one that met my needs. Unfortunately, they were either too large, too heavy, or not configurable to fit the variety of sizes and shapes of travel toiletries, makeup, brushes, etc., I like to take with me on trips.

Finally, I discovered this bag while watching a product review video (or maybe Instagram Live) from a well known beauty influencer whom I would gladly credit if I could remember which one.

It has quickly become one of my favorite travel accessories. Here's why I love it.

A Place for Everything and Everything in Its Place

That was one of my grandmother’s favorite sayings and one that definitely applies to this hanging toiletries organizer.

Here is a close-up look at each of the four interior zippered compartment sections, along with a peek at what I put into each section when I did a trial run of this organizer in anticipation of our next vacation.

Top Flap Section

The top flap is a zippered compartment with a sturdy hanger hook. It folds out to let you hang the organizer in a closet or in the bathroom.

I packed two eyeshadow palettes in the top flap zippered compartment. You can see the attached hanger hook that lets you hang this travel toiletry bag in a closet or on a door hook.

Top Center Section

The top center section is a very generously sized, zippered compartment with a clear plastic front and elastic-top nylon mesh pockets.

I put a bunch of makeup brushes, eye pencils, mascara, lip glosses and a blush compact into the upper center zippered compartment with the elastic-top divided mesh bag. As you can see, I could have easily fit quite a bit more into this section!

Lower Center Section

The lower center section is another generously sized, zippered compartment with a clear plastic front. This one has two rows of wide, elastic strips across the center, stitched down in staggered sections, to securely hold products in a wide variety of shapes and sizes.

I put two bottles of facial mineral sunscreen, a large can of mineral sunscreen spray, an eye treatment and concealer with SPF, toothpaste, floss and deodorant into this section with elastic loops and still had room to spare.

Bottom Flap Section

The bottom flap is another zippered compartment similar to the top flap, but without the hanger hook.

In the bottom flap zippered compartment, I put travel size shampoo, conditioner, styling products, and my Dnsly electric toothbrush in its hard travel case.

Note that this doesn't even include the exterior front pocket, which can fit additional toiletry or other travel items!

This travel toiletry bag has a large capacity that holds everything I want to bring with me and keeps it accessible and organized during my trip. Despite its large capacity, it's also extraordinarily lightweight, which I love!

Either of the two main center compartments can be used to hold makeup brushes securely, if desired.

A Choice of Colors

This travel toiletry organizer comes in the following colors (I've provided descriptions because some of the color names are a bit misleading): Pink (dusty rose-beige), Aegean Blue (soft navy), Lake Blue (dusty dark teal), Purple (dusty medium lilac), Rosewood-Pink (dusty chestnut brown) and Black.

I purchased the Pink, which looks more like a beige to me.

With winter turning to spring, I recently found myself seeking a light-weight jacket to wear instead of a heavy coat. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that my favorite apparel company, Clever Travel Companion, is now making a hoodie jacket with tons of secret pockets. Since I love my CTC pants/leggings and shirts, I bought the Clever Travel Companion jacket immediately!

I have been so thrilled with my secret pocket shirts that I am really not shocked by how much I love this hoodie jacket. While it seems unnecessary to have both a shirt and a jacket with hidden pockets, there are occasions that call for one or the other. When I wear the jacket, it is no longer necessary to wear the tank top as an undershirt or to wear the t-shirt. But, I know summer is coming and I will once again grab those tank tops and t-shirts first. However, for the next few months, I choose my Clever Travel Companion Hoodie Jacket. When summer is over and fall arrives, I will once again be seeking out this fabulous jacket with secret pockets.

I haven't carried a purse in years, but I do carry a small backpack when I go out to take pictures. On my last trip to the zoo, I left my backpack at home and slipped my extra camera battery in the small interior pocket. Since I also had my cell phone and my wallet in my interior pocket, I really was able to completely focus on taking my pictures and not worry about pickpockets or dropping anything.

While it may look odd to others due to the weight of the lens, I can also carry my smaller camera lens in the larger inside zipper pocket. Very nice indeed!

The Best Water Bottle to Carry Around

If you need to drink water consistently throughout the day, you'll love this water bottle.

Without exaggeration, this is the ONLY water bottle I use! There are multiple reasons I call it the best, but before I list them, let me stress the number one feature that makes the Contigo Autoseal Water Bottle my fave: It's easy to carry around without the worry of spilling.

Since I work from home, I drag this water bottle around the house all day long. Here are the reasons it's tops in my book:

1. The handy carry handle lets you grab it with a couple of fingers so you can easily haul it around when you're carrying other stuff. For example, I have multiple places I work from in my home; the family room, at my desk, the living room, and in my bedroom. I'm constantly hauling my laptop from place to place and like to have my water bottle with me all day. The convenient carry handle makes it easy to carry the water bottle and laptop at the same time.

2. The autoseal on the water bottle lets you tip it any which way without the worry of spilling. Simply press to sip from it. Once you let go of the button the autoseal kicks back in and you have a non-spill container.

3. Another convenient aspect is being able to keep a water bottle beside my laptop without the worry of water accidentally spilling onto it. I'm extra careful about cups of liquid near my computer and the Contigo Water bottle eliminates that concern; if I happen to knock it over, it doesn't spill.

4. When I go to bed at night, I'm able to have this water bottle on the end-table without the worry of accidentally bumping it and having it spill. Also, during the night when I need a sip, I can reach over, grab it, and drink from a lying down position! Actually, I prop my head up just enough and take a sip without the worry of spilling - if I happen to drop it, no problem - won't spill.

5. Travelling in the car with this water bottle is easy-peasy. I simply fill it up, put it in the cup holder and off I go. Since you can drink from it using one hand, it makes it very convenient to use while driving.

Almost a year ago, I introduced our readers to Clever Travel Companion Leggings for women. When I wrote that review, I knew I loved those leggings more than any other single garment in my wardrobe. The safety factor alone simply makes those leggings priceless. Today, I would recommend that you also take a close look at the Clever Travel Companion Tank Tops and T-Shirts.

I personally own several of the Clever Travel Companion Tank Tops and one of the t-shirts. I originally bought the tank top to wear while cutting the grass. Everyone knows what a hot job yard-work can be, so I have no doubt that you will understand why I wanted a tank top. Plus, I needed a tank top that would give me full coverage. After all, I still have to consider that we have neighbors and most of them have no desire to be flashed.

I know you are already wondering why this particular tank top is better than any other. Well, let me tell you.

As I previously mentioned, I own several of the tank tops. I wanted the white for my outdoor work. White is simply cooler in the summer months. However, I discovered this little top was a lot more valuable than a simple work shirt! Now, I wear them year round.

I wear my Clever Travel Companion tank tops under almost all of my blouses. I don't have to explain to any woman why a tank top is fabulous under a blouse. I never have to worry if the buttons come unbuttoned or if the blouse pulls open between buttons. Everything is all nice and covered underneath by the tank top. This much we all know and understand. But what makes this brand of tank top better? The secret pockets!

In all honestly, if anyone looks closely enough, they will see the zippers for the pockets. They are not totally camouflaged. But, I will tell you this, anyone studying that part of the shirt better be more concerned about my reaction than they are about whether they can see a zipper.

The pockets are actually just under the arms and the zippers are set approximately 1.5" in front of the center seam of the top. Clever Travel Companion Unisex Tank Top with Two Secret Pockets, White, MediumBecause of the way the pockets are set in sideways, it is very easy to place my drivers license and house key in one pocket and my cell phone on the other side in the other pocket. This allows me to lock up the house while I am working outside. And, of course, if I am going somewhere, there is no need to carry a purse.

I have to tell you, being able to place all of those things in shirt pockets is a lot better than putting them in my jeans pockets. For some reason, I have never been able to find a way to put my cell phone and house key in my jeans pockets without having them ride up and out of the pockets while I am working. Or jabbing me in the leg. I don't know if you have ever experienced having a key stab you in the leg when you are trying to lift garbage bags or plants, but I have and it really hurts.

I recently purchased the Clever Travel Companion T-Shirt to wear under my motorcycle gear. Now, don't freak out on me here fellow contributors. I know you find it shocking that I have motorcycle gear, but I do. I don't drive a motorcycle, but I do ride and I am a firm believer in safety first. I have a full set of armored cycle gear. After all, I am rather partial to my bones and skin.

The secret pockets in the t-shirt allow me to store my keys, driver's license, a credit card and my cell phone. If I take my jacket off when we stop somewhere, I don't have to worry about those items because they are safe in my t-shirt pockets.

Some travelers prefer a Travel Money Pouch. They prefer to wear a pouch around their neck instead of a money belt around their waist. This is especially true for people who do not see well or who don't want to lift their shirts in public should they need to access additional funds or ID.

Clever Travel Companion Women's Leggings with Secret Pockets Reviewed

Security is my #1 concern when I shop, travel, hike, bike, or just walk around the block. When we walk our dogs, I don't want my attention on anything other than taking care of our pups. When we hike, I want to watch my footpath and the surrounding area. I don't want to be distracted or to be encumbered with anything. When I am taking photographs, the last thing I want to do is worry about fighting a purse or if my wallet is secure. I stopped carrying a purse decades ago and started wearing clothes with pockets. Even though I hated the bulge my wallet or cell phone made, I still refused to go back to dragging around a purse.

Over the years, the clothes styles have changed and I have made a few changes too, but I have not gone back to toting a purse. I recently discovered the Clever Travel Companion Leggings with Secret Pockets and I think they are the best solution yet!

Hardly the long, lanky figure of a model, but I love these leggings. Paired with a oversized shirt or tunic top, I am quite comfortable wearing them out in public.

During the winter months, or colder days, I wear them under my dress or slacks. I still have my hidden pockets, plus the added warmth usually associated with thermal underclothes.

Security Pockets and Comfort

Clearly the security pockets with zippers were the main draw for me when I decided to test these pants. After wearing the pants during a variety of activities, I can tell you, they are the most comfortable, best pocket pants I have ever worn.

The pockets will easily hold my drivers license, credit card, and cell phone. I can zip the pocket over them to keep them secure from falling out or from thieves.

Pickpockets and thieves are always a concern when traveling, but so is comfort. These leggings have proven to be the perfect combination for travel!

I frequently sit Indian style, with my legs criss-crossed. That is not always a comfortable style when wearing jeans or dress slacks, but it is effortless with these leggings due to the stretchy fabric. This is truly an added plus for me since my feet often won't touch the ground if I sit completely back in most chairs or seats.

I love the waistband on these leggings! The waistband is wide enough to prevent rolling, but soft and stretchy enough to be extremely comfortable on the waist when sitting, standing, walking or bending. You never notice the waistband is there except that it is holding up your leggings.

Keys

Keys do require a bit more consideration. You aren't going to want to stick a single key in the pocket of these leggings. The key could easily injure you and would most certainly poke through the fabric.

Clearly, this is not an issue if your car uses a key fob, but most of us still carry a house key with us when we go out.

I use, and would recommend, a key case. One like the one on right works nicely.

Let's Review the Best Travel Accessory for Foreign Travel

An Essential Travel Accessory

Why I chose to review this handy little travel accessory/gadget: There are many little travel gifts and travel accessories for the serious traveler, so it's hard to choose just one as the best, but if I had to choose the best gift for a traveler, it would be a travel adapter/surge protector.

The reason I say this is that even though you might think otherwise, every country has their own electricity configurations, and what works in one country will not work in other countries. I wonder who thought up this idea? My guess would be electricians, but I digress.

The USA uses 110 volts, and along with Panama, they are the only countries who do. All the other countries use 220 volts. And as if that weren't enough to fry your electronic devices, they all have different plug configurations! So if you are traveling in Europe, your plug for your computer, phone charger, camera, etc are not going to fit in every country. You really don't want to get in late and try to plug in your computer or phone and find out you can't. Travelling can be stressful enough without that aggravation!

Now many hotels do provide them, but not all do. And even if they do, they almost never have surge protectors and you don't want to fry your laptop now, do you? So it's best to bring your own adapter/surge protector.

Before I left the United States for my around the world tour, I looked into this because I had just purchased a new laptop, and a new camera, and I have an iPhone, so I wanted to be sure I had surge protection in addition to adapters. What I settled on was this handy gadget:

I have been completely happy with it, as there have been times when my hotel did not have the correct plug for my devices, and there have been other times when the wifi was very "iffy" and sporadic, so I would have been worried but I wasn't, because I had this wonderful gadget with me! It takes up very little room for the piece of mind you get from it, so I think it's my favorite travel accessory of all. I am sure my computer was saved more than once from power surges on our trip.

Most computers and electronic devices these days will work on either 110 volts or 220 volts but be sure you check before you try to use them in a different country! My phone, camera and computer all worked fine and had no problems. If you aren't sure, check your manufacturer specifications. (And if you threw them away, just "google" them.)

On Amazon this accessory has lots of positive reviews and I noticed one that said they don't travel outside the country but their family hangs out in the living room together with all of them using their own electronic devices and they all need to charge their devices at once so it works for them as it has 6 USB ports. That made me laugh. Family time now means everyone using their devices in one room. Well I guess that's better than no family time at all. I'm still laughing.
