Have You Heard of 3D Floor Decals?

Today I wanted to review what I think is an awesome home decor idea that I wish I'd found some time ago.  3D floor decals look - AMAZING!  I have only just seen them and they have given me so many ideas especially for children's bedrooms which is why I wish I'd seen them years ago.

Of course these decals aren't specifically for children's bedrooms, they can be used anywhere.  I do think that they could really be fun and help spark their imagination.  Imagine if your child loves adventures and so has to hop across the room to avoid falling into a fiery pit - he or she would feel like a real-life adventurer.

If your child loves everything about space, imagine one of the decals below on their bedroom floor, they could wake up and imagine that they were actually in a spaceship.   These decals are self-adhesive and removable which makes them a great way to add some fun to a room that can be changed as your child's likes change from dinosaurs to the wonderful world of the ocean and more.

Of course, just because they are floor decals doesn't mean you can't also put these decals on the wall.  I have seen some ocean-inspired decals with sharks seeming to leap out of the ocean put on the wall above a bed   Now I'll be honest I wouldn't sleep that well with a couple of sharks above me, but apparently, there are ones with dolphins as well which I would love!

These 3D floor decals aren't just for kids there are some really lovely designs for nearly every room in the house depending on what type of things you like.   I have seen some nice ones that feature suspension bridges over forest tops (or a fiery crevice like above), along with fish pond-inspired ones that would be very peaceful in a relaxation room or your home office.

Have you seen these 3D floor decals before and where would you use them?

More Ways to Incorporate 3D Elements in Your Home Decor

I'm not the first person on ReviewThis to talk about 3D elements in your home decor, one of our home decor experts, Barbara has written a few articles showing you how to incorporate 3D tablecloths along with some wall decals.   Let's have a look at a few of her articles ...

In this article Barbara talks about using 3D decal on the walls to make your room seem bigger while also adding quite a bit of personality to a room - is there nothing these decals can't do?

  1. These floor decals are really cool! Like you, I think they would be awesome in a child's room and would spark imagination. I couldn't help but think how cool the ocean would be in a bathroom.

  2. I would like the ocean in my bathroom too. In fact, my daughter & SIL have a completely sea-related bathroom and an ocean floor decal would fit in perfectly.

  3. I love the idea of these for a child’s room! I also think having a bathroom with a fish pond or ocean floor would be very close cool.

  4. These look like so much fun. I've seen the cobblestones decal before and thought it'd be fun on a bathroom floor. I had no idea there are so many different decals to choose from.

  5. Well this is taking decorating right down to the floor. I love it. So many times the floor is boring with a carpet or wood and nothing really imaginative going on.....these decals would certainly change that idea. Thanks Barbara for pointing me in this direction.
