Find ways to reduce your environmental impact. This could involve reducing your energy consumption, using reusable bags and containers, or reducing your use of single-use plastics.
Learn a new language or take a course to improve your language skills. This can be a fun and rewarding way to challenge yourself and expand your horizons.
Make an effort to be more present and attentive in your relationships. This could involve putting away your phone when you're with others, actively listening when someone is speaking, and showing appreciation for the people in your life.
Set aside time for relaxation and enjoyment. This could involve hobbies, reading, or simply taking a few minutes each day to do something you enjoy. Taking breaks and relaxing can help you recharge and be more productive in the long run.
Barbara, you have given us one very well thought out plan for making our own New Year very different and positive. Each suggestion is easy to start and easier to continue once started. Thank you for this great list of attainable goals to make 2023 even better than the year before!
ReplyDeletesending you positive vibes for a great year
DeleteGreat list of goals and improvement ideas, Barbara. BTW, I could teach you how to fold a fitted sheet. It's one of MY accomplishments... LOL. Thanks for all these ideas for improving my new year.
ReplyDeletePat, I would take the lesson! I do get it looking sort of ok, but it's never ever perfect, grrr
DeleteExcellent ways to get off to a great 2023. Thank Barbara for these wonderful ideas and goals. BTW, folding fitted sheets, Step 1 Roll into a ball. Step 2 Stuff in bottom drawer. That's it!!!!
ReplyDeleteSam, lmao!
DeleteBarbara, what a fabulous list of actionable steps to improve our lives in 2023! I need to print this and refer to it often to help me get “unstuck.” I wish I could hire you to help me get my vast collection of crafting and jewelry making supplies organized! That’s a big one on my list and I find it overwhelming. (Off to read your article on this for some inspiration.) as for fitted sheets, I had to laugh at Sam’s method, although I suspect your love for the neat and orderly will make Elf’s method more appealing, lol.
ReplyDeleteI would love to help you organize that :) - My neighbor used to solicit my help when the kids were younger - I honestly have to do my own organizing - I feel like things are in more disarray than I'm comfortable with right now. I'm actually feeling a bit hesitant about this year - quite a bit going on. - oh and Sam's suggestion cracked me up lol!
Deletelol, I need to join you on learning how to fold a fitted sheet! I sure do like Sam's suggestion:) What I have noted over the last few years is that I need to make #20 my first priority in 2023. I always make a list of things to do each day. What doesn't get done that day is moved to the next. After a few days, I find I am constantly working instead of taking any time to relax. That is my 2023 goal! Take more fun time. While that one caught my attention, I am sure there are other suggestions that would be beneficial too. (perhaps in my off time, I will read through them again :)
ReplyDeletefantastic that you stick to lists, that's not easy to commit too! - the folded sheet was the most painless thing I could think of hahaha
DeleteBarbara, I need work in each of those 20 areas (including learning how to fold a fitted sheet. I just sort of wad them up neatly and tuck them in the drawer! haha)
