Garlic Butter Noodles with Mushrooms - Recipe Reviewed |
When looking for something quick, tasty, and easy to make this is one of our go-to meals. The butter garlic flavor really stands out. If you like mushrooms as I do, and pasta this is a perfect combination. The recipe below is enough for two people. If you're serving a crowd just add to it accordingly.
Ingredients:
- 12 oz. sliced mushrooms (washed and pat dry)
- 4 tablespoons butter (2 for the mushrooms and 2 for the noodles)
- 3 cloves of garlic finely chopped
- 1/2 bag of noodles (or your favorite pasts)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley or basil for garnish (optional)
Directions:
- Begin cooking the mushrooms in a skillet over medium to high heat.
- Stir and turn the mushrooms until you see moisture in the pan.
- Add 2 tablespoons of butter and chopped garlic and continue to stir and turn until the mushrooms are golden brown.
- Lower the heat to simmer and cook your noodles.
- Drain the cooked noodles and return them to the pot or a bowl, add the other 2 tablespoons of butter and stir.
- Pour the cooked mushrooms over the noodles and stir. Add the garnish and serve.

Love, love, love both pasta and mushrooms! Besides looking absolutely delicious ~ and these garlic butter {yum} noodles being so very easy to prepare ~ your tip about cooking the mushrooms is terrific, Sam. I knew that mushrooms had liquid, but did not realize that you should start cooking them in a dry pan and THEN add the butter, etc. I have been melting the butter, then adding the mushrooms. I shall try your mushroom cooking method next time ~ like for tonight's dinner! Thanks so much for your garlic butter noodles with mushrooms recipe.
ReplyDeleteLooks and sounds like the perfect, easy dish to cook for dinner after a busy day. I would simply have to pass my caramelized mushrooms over to my husband. That funny thing is that he is not crazy about pasta, so I guess I would get more pasta. Works for me! I guess that means that betwixt the two of us, we would lick the platter clean :)
ReplyDeleteSam, as someone who loves both pasta and fresh mushrooms (especially portobello), I’m sure I will love this dish. Fortunately, we have found a delicious low carb pasta brand, so noodles are back on the menu at our house. Garlic butter makes everything taste better! Thank you for sharing your recipe.
ReplyDeleteSam, I'm hoping that this recipe is as good as the salt potatoes you posted a while ago. I love pasta and mushrooms and garlic so this for me is a real good recipe. Trying it soon, thanks!
ReplyDeleteSounds absolutely yummy!!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds so good and so simple - My youngest son and I love mushrooms (not hubby), so between the two of us, we could devour a huge serving of this - have to keep this recipe as a reminder - I need to make it
ReplyDeleteI love the simple recipes and this one definitely sounds delicious. I've done garlic and mushrooms with noodles before, but am intrigued by your method.
