I love Dr Pepper and for the past 60 years I have had a cup of "hot Dr Pepper" most every morning. I started when I was a teenager and saw the ads for hot Dr Pepper. Back then I would pour my Dr Pepper in a saucepan, add a slice of lemon and heat it. I would then pour it into a cup and enjoy. In today's microwave world, I pour my Dr Pepper into a mug and heat it for 2 minutes. I then add either a slice of lemon or lime. Delicious!! I don't drink coffee or tea so it is Dr Pepper that helps me to fully wake up each morning.

Dr Pepper Museum
There is a Dr Pepper Museum in Waco Texas. It was opened in 1991 in downtown Waco. It has three floors of exhibits and includes a working old-fashioned soda fountain, and a gift store with Dr Pepper memorabilia. That is where I purchased my mug that you see at the beginning of the photo. As you can probably tell from the photo my mug is showing some wear, perhaps I need to get a new one!

I've always liked Dr. Pepper, but never heard about drinking it HOT and didn't know the interesting history behind it. These are really interesting facts about a delicious drink. Thanks, Mary Beth.
As I recall, Dr. Pepper is "the joy of every boy and girl!" This is a very fun review, Mary Beth. I can just imagine you drinking your hot Dr Pepper first thing in the morning while the rest of us drink coffee or tea. I had no idea Dr Pepper preceded Coca-Cola. How awesome is that. And I love that they protect the recipe by having it in separate bank vaults. A really fun read to start my morning and gave me a new appreciation for Dr Pepper.
Wow, that's a first! I've not heard of hot Dr.Pepper - I'll bet this will spread and many will be trying it - quite cool this was advertised back in the '60s lol
I don't think I have ever drank a Dr Pepper and I didn't know you could drink it hot. As you don't drink coffee in the morning I can see that is a great alternative! I think that could catch on. Love your review , very interesting and fun information about Dr Pepper.
Wow, I never would have considered drinking a soda hot. I wonder if it works for other sodas. I would also be interested to know if there is still some fizz to it, or is it more flat. Interesting idea.
