Finding the proper winter ankle boots for bunions can be a challenge. I needed something soft on the top portion that wouldn't press on my bunions, easy to slip on for quick errands, and affordable.
These boots checked most of those boxes, and overall, I'm happy with my purchase.
These boots ARE NOT made explicitly for bunions. I choose them for the reasons I outline here, primarily for their soft shoe material so as not to crush my bunions, aggravate them, and cause pain.
What I Like About These Ankle Boots For My Bunions:
Soft and Warm Lining – The fur lining is cozy and keeps my feet warm, even on the coldest days.
Waterproof Upper – Made from oxford fabric, these boots help keep my feet dry in wet conditions.
Easy to Slip On and Off – Elastic bands on both sides make them quick and hassle-free to put on.
Non-Slip Soles – The polyurethane soles have a three-dimensional non-slip design, providing good traction.
Great for Everyday Use – They're basic, comfortable, and practical for running errands in winter.
Affordable—This budget-friendly option offers good value for the price. I wasn't interested in an elaborate orthopedic boot, just something that would allow me to head out of the house quickly and with a good grip for those snowy days.
The One Drawback
Even though I ordered a size up to accommodate my bunions, my toes still feel a bit crushed, especially when walking for long periods.
It's not unbearable, and I won't be returning them, but I do notice it. If you're buying these boots specifically for bunions, I'd recommend carefully considering your sizing—perhaps even going up two sizes instead of just one.
If I had considered it, I would have ordered two different sizes and returned the one that didn't fit.

Final Thoughts
Overall, these boots are an excellent value for the price. They keep my feet warm and dry, and they're easy to slip on and off.
While the toe space could be more generous, they still work well for winter wear and short errands.
If you have bunions, just be extra careful with sizing to ensure a comfortable fit.

I really like the looks of these ankle boots and glad to hear they work pretty well for your feet and poor toes. I have taller winter boots I bought years ago when I moved back to 'snow' country, but don't find them particularly comfortable. They are too heavy and cumbersome. Even without a bunion problem, I think I would like having these shorter ankle boots. Thanks for telling me about them.
ReplyDeleteThey're actually pretty cute, not too bulky. Nothing fancy, but for the price and the amount of times I need them, and for my hurting feet, they're just right.
DeleteThese ankle boots are awesome! The easy on & off would make them ideal. Being warm is just an added benefit. I will definitely be looking at these boots as a possibility for me.
ReplyDeleteFor the price, they'll certainly do. Regular leather type boots hurt my feet, but I can handle these ones :)
DeleteBarb, these look awesome! I, too, have bunions. Unfortunately, I also have extra-wide feet, so my choices of footwear are limited. (If you’re looking for some super-comfy slippers that are soft and wide enough to accommodate your bunions, check out my review of my memory foam slippers!)
ReplyDeleteI actually bought those ones! They're by the patio door to the background to go in and out in, when I'm not wearing them - I love them. Bought them shortly after your article came out :)
DeleteIt is so important to have shoes or in this case boots that fit and are comfortable. I do like ankle boots and these look cute. I am glad you find these ones to be pretty good for you. Nice and warm and slip on /off, waterproof and non slip is great for colder weather!
ReplyDeleteI'm always looking for comfortable shoes for my bunions. Thanks for the recommendation.
ReplyDeleteI definitely look for shoes and boots that have wider toe space now. It's definitely the best way to go for healthier and happier feet.
ReplyDeleteI have a pair of these little booties and they are super great. I don't have bunions but I have heel spurs instead. Painful as all get out, but with the proper inserts these booties do the trick for me too! Glad you love yours Barbara!
