We prefer to make cornbread from scratch, but sometimes a quick fix is necessary.
While on one of Fran and Jamie's Buffalo shopping trips, Fran picked up this box of cornbread mix, along with many other things.

We use a lot of the Stonewall Kitchen products, but I have never tried their cornbread. I will have to add a box to my next order of jams. btw, you made me smile with the idea of going to Buffalo to shop. I had no idea it had a great shopping area. I'll have to be sure to seek that out the next time we visit.
ReplyDeleteOh, for sure, Jamie just went there again yesterday. Vidler's 5 and dime in East Auroa and 10 minutes away is Marilla's Country store. They have made several Hallmark movies at Vidle's and the East Auroa area. Hallmark just wrapped up the latest move called "A Bills Love Story"

It is always great to have a good box mix on the shelves when there is no time to bake from scratch.

ReplyDeleteOh, this looks and sounds so delicious. I could seriously get into this! I do love cornbread - it's not something we eat a lot of, but when I do have it, it's hard to stop eating it!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear there is a good cornbread box mix. I love cornbread but have not had any for a long time now (change of diet habits), but when I want some I know I can get some real quick. Thanks Sam for a great review on something that I will enjoy for sure!
