This review of the skeletons currently decorating your neighborhood is delightful, Mary Beth. What a fun story. Have to tell you about my daughter-in-law who LOVES Halloween decorations and fully decorates inside and outside every year. Each year she adds to her collection. A few Octobers ago, I went shopping with her for her latest craze - a 6 foot skeleton for her yard (which her husband [my son] built a wooden crypt for which they put in the front yard). We purchased the skeleton and took it out to her SUV whereas we wondered how to transport it. What we did was put it upright in a sitting position in the backseat and held it in place with the seat belt. I have to tell you the LOOKS we got from other drivers on the way home was priceless!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your neighborhood skeletons with me, and also thanks for the mention about my Halloween article on handmade Halloween home decor. Appreciate it.
Looks like your neighborhood are bone-fide skeleton lovers!
ReplyDeleteLooks like the residents of your neighborhood go all-out for Halloween! Fun!
ReplyDeleteI was just noticing this week how skeletons had taken over our neighborhood! My favorite is a skeleton dog chasing a skeleton cat up a tree. We have our bat and pumpkins so I guess we are not "in style" for this year, but no worries. My neighbors are certainly decorating in skeleton style just like your neighborhood. Thank you for featuring my Halloween decor post. We do enjoy decorating for the holidays and driving around to look at other decorations.
ReplyDeleteI always get a kick out of those skeletons crawling on the houses for Halloween; they're a cross between hilarious and super creepy - but honestly, they do make me laugh more than any other Halloween decoration - what does that say about me? lol
ReplyDeleteMary Beth, I think you are right, skeletons have taken over my neighborhood too! Spiders seem to be the next most common. I love that it's so easy to get into the spirit of the holiday with a few well placed skeletons!
ReplyDeleteOh and thank you for mentioning my review from last year....
ReplyDeleteGreat review and you have some impressive Halloween skeletons in your neighbourhood!
ReplyDeleteThose huge skeletons are hugely (pun intended) popular around Ottawa. We even have a radio celebrity going around and taking and sharing skelfies with them!
