The Classic Record Player Stand - Reviewed

In this age of digital streaming, there is something undeniably charming about spinning vinyl records on a classic turntable. Our daughter bought Fran a classic turntable for her birthday this year. Since we didn't have a place for it we had to find a record player stand.

The classic record player stand - reviewed

Fran began a search for what she wanted to buy for our new turntable. Yes, now we have another piece of furniture in the house. She found this Amil Series stand from Mazefur with more of a contemporary style. It's perfect for the new turntable and fits nicely in our living room.

The stand was very easy to assemble with excellent easy-to-follow instructions. The top surface offers a stable platform for our turntable, with enough space to accommodate even a larger model.

The stand has a sleek pull-out drawer at the top, a shelf right below the drawer, and plenty of storage space for our extensive collection of vinyl records to be stored safely.

Many turntables on the market today have built-in CD players, ours does not. The shelf below the drawer will be perfect for a CD player, as we also have an extensive collection of CDs. The shelf has wire management access on the back panel for easy installation of the wires.

There are many styles of record player stands to choose from. We like the style of the one we purchased, but you can find many stands that offer a retro look to bring you back in time.

  1. We had a classic record player for decades, Sam, and thoroughly enjoyed our vinyl records on a regular basis. Still have a box filled with 60s folk music records, but no record player at the moment. The stand you found for Fran's new record player is perfect. I'll remember this review for when I replace my player as I'll need a stand for it. Thanks, Sam.

  2. We still have our vinyl records too and I still have my record player from my teen years (it still works). My old record player is a large unit. A few years back, my husband gave me a new turntable with a built-in radio & cd player. It stays on the bookshelves in our den and we love it, but I can certainly understand why you would want or need a new record player stand. I did have to laugh at the splay legged stand you featured. I remember when they were in style. I was always afraid the legs would break and everything would tumble to the ground. I much prefer the style Fran selected. I looks very stable and secure for those precious albums.

  3. I, too, still have a treasured vinyl record collection and a vintage player that is still going strong (from before the era a disposable electronics) on a tiered mobile stand that also holds a CD player and a stereo receiver. Your daughter’s gift was extremely thoughtful. I’m so glad you and Fran found the perfect stand for her new record player.

  4. Oh this just seems like our household as well. Records and the sound that comes from them just seem to be in a league all on their own. Many people are finding that records when properly cleaned offer so much more depth of sound than all the modern alternatives. I*'m glad you found something that fits your needs so Fran can enjoy the sounds completely!

  5. Sam, I love the simplicity of this stand. It's not overwhelming and offers that awesome retro vibe as well. Turntables are certainly making their way back now - my number 2 son has a whole vinyl record setup too
