The Best, Most Practical, Best Organized, Lightweight Crossbody Bag

As we kick off the new year, I have been thinking a lot about ways to get better organized. I love having organization, but I'm not good at maintaining it. One of the few things I have been able to keep fairly well organized is my purse, and it's thanks to the Baggallini Modern Everywhere Hobo Bag. I love this wonderful lightweight, adjustable crossbody bag so much that I have purchased and repurchased it over the years in a few different colors. Here's my product review of this purse that has finally allowed me to maintain an organized handbag.

The Problem: Too Much to Carry

Like many women, I like to be prepared when I'm out and about. As a result, I carry a lot in my purse or handbag: Wallet, keys, sunglasses, phone, brush, tissues, cough drops, lip balm, hand cream, sunscreen, lipstick, a face mask, UPF 50 gloves to protect my hands against UV rays, a water bottle, and sometimes my Kindle.

I also have a bad back and leather purses tend to be too heavy for me, especially when they're filled with all of the above! In addition, I have sloping shoulders and a regular shoulder bag slides off. So, I need a sturdy yet lightweight crossbody bag that can accommodate all the "stuff" I carry with me without being too heavy. I also need a bag with lots of pockets and compartments, including secure zipper compartments, to keep everything organized and easily accessible.

Scratch-Resistant Sunglasses Pocket: Protects your glasses or other delicate items, ensuring they remain scratch-free. I prefer to keep my sunglasses in a case inside the main compartment and use the side pocket to hold my water bottle.
Sturdy, Wide, Adjustable Strap: The long 52" removable strap allows for customization, so I can wear it as a crossbody bag or shorten the strap to a shoulder bag length, if desired. It's wide enough not to dig into my shoulder and is made of durable material that would be difficult for a would-be thief to slice. Halloween Sweaters and Accessories ~ A Holiday Review

I am in a Holiday kind of mind because for the last few years many of our holidays have been put on hold due to the world wide COVID precautions and restrictions. Well, the good news is that those many restrictions have been lifted and we can all celebrate together again. That for me, is a big deal and I'm not alone! Everyone is ready to have some fun and just kick back and enjoy the season and the holidays that are contained in there!

A Locker For American Girl Dolls Reviewed

Our American Girl Doll Needs A Locker

One of our little granddaughters is about to turn six, so I asked her what she wanted for her birthday. Her response was some "stuff" for her American Girl Doll. "Grandma, I would like stuff for her to use, not clothes but, you know, stuff to use and play with." she says.

So, off I went looking for some accessories (stuff) that she would enjoy. Let me tell you, there is no short supply of "stuff" for the dolls! I knew that but was amazed with all of the options available. Too much fun, I'm telling you, just too much fun for a shopping Grandma who wants to thrill a little girl.

Now, I should tell you that my husband and I have a couple of vintage school lockers in our home. We have one for me to use out in the sun room. I keep gardening supplies in it because it is close to the back door. We also have one that we let our grandchildren use to stash their prized possessions in when they are here or to keep safe until the next visit. The kids love that locker!

So, when I found a locker made for the American Girl Dolls or any 18 inch doll; I knew my quest was over for a little while, anyway. There is Christmas coming after all! The birthday gift is taken care of with the cutest locker you can imagine!

I am really impressed with how well made this little doll locker is! It is metal, just like a real school locker. I chose the hot pink one for my granddaughter because pink is her most favorite color. There are other colors to choose from, if you don't care for the hot pink. It also comes with a little label that can be personalized for the Doll and a sticker that looks like a combination lock. Oh, it also comes with four little hangers to hang the doll clothes in the locker. Adorable! Just absolutely adorable! Additional hangers can be ordered separately.

Besides being a fun accessory, it will make for some great storage, too. She can put doll clothes in it but also the little shoes and small things that we wouldn't want her puppy dog to find and swallow. My granddaughter loves to have cubbies, boxes and such to store her things in. Sometimes, you will go in to see what she is playing and she is organizing her "stuff" into compartments. She is going to love this locker!

If you have a child's birthday coming up or are shopping early for the holidays; this little locker is a wonderful option for you to consider. The great thing is that it doesn't have to be for a little girl, I think boys would love having one to put toys in, also. This grandma loves it so much that she might have to get another one to have here; you know, for when the girls visit.

Southern Fried Cotton Review

Recently I began a part time job in a retail clothing department. Our store is located in Coastal Georgia, so many of the lines of clothing we carry are from Southern companies and have designs that are popular in our coastal communities.

One of these lines is the Southern Fried Cotton Company located in Clemson, South Carolina. SoFriCo is a graphic design and screen printing company that has been in operation for 25 years. It specializes in T-Shirts and hats.

The company was begun by three young men, John, Chuck and Chris, who were all raised in the Upstate of South Carolina with frequent trips to the coast, plenty of weekends on the lake, and lots of time spent on dirt roads and back woods with either a dog or a gun…or both. Their creative designs reflect this lifestyle and appeal to people old and young who appreciate and enjoy the Southern lifestyle.

SOFRICO

The goal of the owners of Southern Fried Cotton is to create apparel that captures the Southern spirit…. from the rustic countryside to the vibrant coastline! They combine country with coastal, sand with dirt, prep with grit, and vintage with new. Some of their designs reflect the good ole days. Other designs are timeless that all ages can appreciate. And, they’re all Southern Fried!

Southern Fried Cotton uses the hound dog as their logo. Not only is the Hound an iconic sporting dog in the deep south, it is also a great identifier of the Southern Fried lifestyle lived by the owners of SoFriCo.

Southern Fried Cotton is a 'Home Grown Apparel Co' inspired by Southern Style. It's the logo on their T-shirts. Today, the founders of SFC live and work in Clemson, SC with their families. As they began to raise daughters, Chris, John and Chuck realized they needed a softer side to their line of Southern apparel and, thus, MG Palmer was born.

This side of Southern Fried Cotton was created to inspire and encourage these daughters and all young ladies to be strong, courageous, and always sweet.

These designs can be found on display in their retail stores in Clemson and in Greenville, South Carolina, and on their website at mgpalmerapparel.com.

Southern Fried Cotton Company also carries baseball style hats like the one shown in the intro photo, and accessories such as Koozies.

They also carry a line of Sweet Youth clothes for kids.
