As we crochet crafters know, Amigurumi is the Japanese art of crocheting small, stuffed yarn creatures. Zoomigurumi takes it one step further and concentrates on animals found in the wild or domesticated ones we have as pets.
This series of twelve craft books features patterns for a wide variety of very cute and clever animals to crochet as huggable soft handmade toys. Each book in the series features from 12 to 15 animal patterns, each one by a different designer. The patterns range from beginner to advanced, so every crochet crafter can find one or more to fit their abilities. The series was produced by AmigurumiPatterns.net, a popular handicraft website.

*Review of the Zoomigurumi Series of crochet pattern books written by Wednesday Elf
Elf, these crocheted critters are absolutely adorable! I can’t imagine how I would choose among these 12 volumes if I made amigurumi. I’m sure I would want the entire set!
ReplyDeleteThey sure are a cute bunch of Amigurumi animal patterns. It is hard to choose. I've read them all and love many of the patterns in each. Thanks for your visit, Margaret.
DeleteWhat a fun hobby! I love your zoomies, soooo cute - those monkeys are so well done as well; they're all well done - I'll bet this kind of hobbie can be addictive (in a good way)
ReplyDeleteCrochet has always been fun for me, Barbara, and plush anmals are my favorite to create. That's why I love these Zoomigurumi animal patterns and have been enjoying creating them.
DeleteWhat a neat series of books and patterns. The crocheted animals so cute! Clearly, they are not created just for children and appeal to adults as well. You really are a very skilled and impressive crocheter, Elf. All of your animals look absolutely perfect and professionally made. The Giant Panda and the walrus are adorable, but my eyes immediately went to the toucan and his colorful beak. The rows look so perfect! And, that big-eyed gator is fabulous! (or is he a crocodile? The football fans in my life would see a gator :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, dear Sylvestermouse, for the sweet compliment on my handcrafted creations. I love crocheting plush animals of all kinds. That's why this series of Zoomie patterns really appealed to me. So many to choose from and fun to work on.
