Although I tend to hand wash mine more often than not, I have run the tumbler and lid through the dishwasher several times and have not experienced any chipping or scratching of the powder-coated exterior.

These insulated travel tumblers would have been handy when my hubby & I were referees for Youth Soccer on weekends and our son was playing. DeleteThe tumblers that keeps beverages cold or hot for lengthy periods of time, are really awesome! I haven't tried the Hydro Flask, but it sounds fabulous. I really like the idea of being able to put it in the dishwasher. After a long day, I don't really want to come home and start washing dishes. I do, however, agree with you that hand washing is better for longevity and sustained beauty.

DeleteI've seen so many videos on the Stanley Tumblers - and feel it's too expensive as well - It's nice to know there's an alternative that has the approval of someone I know. This is the sort of product that requires (in my opinion) finding "just the right one" - This is a nice gift for a travel mug especially traveling by car. I know a few in my family who would appreciate this. Including me!
