There are many classic shows to choose from on MeTV. Of course there are a few shows with sketchy acting, but you still love the darn show.

Shows In Their Own Classic Category
The Love Boat
Who can forget the theme song and the cast of regulars! The solid formula every week with a who's who of television stars of the decade. The guest stars were fun to watch even if their acting was sketchy at times.
The Waltons
Solid, dependable and to this day fans love The Waltons. The series which stands the test of time for how many times can one watch the same episode! Considering The Waltons began airing in 1972 - that is many a decade of reruns for old and new fans!
The Crime Shows
Mannix, Matlock, Adam 12, Dragnet, and In The Heat Of The Night. All shows which had very successful runs with some of the most remembered actors of the decade.
The Westerns
Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Wild Wild West, The Big Valley.
Cutting The Cable Cord
If you are ready to discontinue cable television and jump into what free television offers MeTv should be on your radar. Quality television at no cost (or perhaps the cost of a digital antenna) is a treasure to find.
I love the old weekly series shows! I started watching The Beverly Hillbillies again not too long ago. Needless to say, I did not feel like I had seen most of the episodes before and I found myself laughing out loud, almost embarrassingly so, at how silly and fun they were to watch. I am sure there are several you listed above that I would equally enjoy discovering again.
ReplyDeleteM.A.S.H. is a definite classic that I can watch over and over and never tire of. My son introduced me to ME TV several years ago and it is a great deal of fun to watch these old shows. Many were better than several of the current ones on cable today. Thanks for reminding us of the memories, Tracey.
ReplyDeleteMeTV is definitely on my radar (or should I say antenna). Thanks for the reminder that I need to check it out.
ReplyDeleteWow, all the shows we grew up with. I sure do miss the TV of our/my era. I loved The Carol Burnette Show (who didn't right?), and Sonny and Cher, and All in the Family, and WKRP in Cincinnati, and The Partridge Family, and the list goes on!! We all gathered around to watch TV; fantastic memories.
ReplyDeleteYou know that you are supposed to learn something new everyday, right? Well I just learned about MeTV and it sounds like it would be a winner in our home. Thanks Tracey for this great recommendation!
