I fully agree, Beverly. This type of basket will work great for an Easter Basket, and is so handy for other things. My son gave me a similar basket, lined with a pretty cotton lining, one Christmas (filled with goodies) and I have now used it to this day for my current yarn projects. Every time I pick out the yarns and pattern for a planned project, I think of my son and his thoughtfulness. And the basket is so handy to carry from my craft room to wherever I decide to work on my project. Your granddaughters will definitely 'remember' grandma and the baskets you give them. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very pretty wicker basket that you have featured Bev! I also have an affinity for wicker baskets. Our children had one each that they used year after year for Easter. I guess I should have given them to them to use in their rooms like you suggested. That never occurred to me. We just reused them for Easter each year. I do love the sturdiness of a wicker basket!
ReplyDeletePretty basket indeed. I like that idea as well. Put a few more dollars into the purchase and have a use for it afterwards. I am a basket "nut". Put something in a basket and I'm much more likely to purchase it. Pretty and useful.
ReplyDeleteI have a soft spot for baskets too :) - wicker is a favorite!
ReplyDeleteLol, I did this most of the time when the kids were young. I would use all kinds of funky things for baskets, including actual baskets. I always bought items to fill their baskets with. Man I miss those days now that I'm thinking about it. The kids would wake up on Easter Sunday with a basket filled with a ton of things from candy, clothes and toys.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love baskets. Especially wicker baskets. Such a great idea for Easter.
