  1. My family loves seafood and seafood restaurants. I am allergic to shellfish, but I do enjoy tuna, cod, salmon and several other freshwater fish. I personally have to be very careful in restaurants though. So often utensils, plates, cutting boards and even oil or pans are "contaminated (for me)" by shellfish even though you would think fresh fish would be cooked separately. I had no idea October was National Seafood Month.

    1. I know that 'contamination' regarding food allergies can be very serious. After having just flown on an airline for the first time in ten years, I discovered that peanut allergies have become so severe that peanuts are no longer offered on the snack & beverage trays. Also, bakeries in grocery stores have completely stopped putting peanuts, and actually any kind of nuts, in or on their donuts & cakes.

Too bad you are allergic to shellfish, Mouse, because there are some really tasty ones out there. :)

  6. I eat shrimp regularly, fixed many ways. My favorite is my daughter-in-law's delicious Panko Shrimp! Have to buy shrimp frozen here in the Midwest. I miss the days of living on the Georgia coast where I was able to get fresh shrimp within just hours of it being off the local shrimpboat! Nothing like it! :)
