Reviewing FLEXUS by Spring Step Shoes

Cute and comfortable shoes.
I dislike shoes. I really, really dislike shoes. So when I find a pair that I enjoy wearing I feel compelled to tell others about them. The FLEXUS shoes made by Spring Step are affordable, comfortable, and everyday cute.

FLEXUS by Spring Step

The other day I wore my FLEXUS shoes to an event and got several compliments. Perhaps my co-workers were so surprised to see me wearing something other than my same ol' tennis shoes that they complimented my shoes out of shock. But I don't think so. These shoes are cute.

Not only are they cute, they are affordable. I bought my pair (the style: Bedrock) at DSW

They are comfortable. The soles are slightly flexible and the shoes are lightweight. I like to keep my toes covered and the wide toe box is comfortable. No squished, cramped toes crammed into a pointed toe! The treads of the shoe are a type of hard rubber - solid but not loud and clackity on hard surface floors.

On the Spring Step website, they list the 5 points of comfort of the soles as:

  • anti-shock
  • anatomic
  • self-moulding
  • slip-proof
  • flexible

The older I become, the less I like to wear heels. Once upon a time I liked wearing wedges for special occasions. And prior to that I LOVED stacks. Yes, I'm giving away my age. But honestly, I would just prefer to be barefoot. If I absolutely must wear shoes, I'm glad I found the FLEXUS line by Spring Step.

If you prefer shopping on Amazon, there is a large selection of shoes by Spring Step.

  1. Oh these are cute. I can see why people were commenting on them. I wonder if you can remove their insoles and replace them with orthotics. I hate shoes too, but my feet hurt when I don't wear my orthotics. It makes shopping for shoes a real chore. Thanks Dawn for showing me some really nice shoes that I just might be able to wear.

  2. I’m another shoe hater who can’t wear pointed-toe shoes or heels. Those Noral loafers look right up my alley to wear with pants (in fact, I own a similar shoe from Munro). I know European shoes tend to be a bit wider than US shoes, but, sadly, not wide enough for my EE-width feet. I’d get a pair of those for sure! (I can’t wear backless shoes like your cute Bedrock style, either. Problem feet are a nuisance!) Thanks for a great review!

  3. You shoes are adorable! I completely understand not wanting to wear shoes unless they are required. When I worked in an office, I wore heels everyday. They didn't bother me at all. As a matter of fact, when I wore tennis shoes at that time in my life, my legs hurt at the end of the day. However, I put on heels for a party 2 days ago. Within a few hours, they were very uncomfortable. Your shoes would have been the perfect combination of dressy & comfortable, with a little sassy to boot!

  4. Since retiring, I tend to wear nothing but tennis shoes, but I'm sure an occasion will rise when a dressier shoe is required. These Flexus shoes look to fit the bill.

  5. These do look and sound very comfortable. Right now I'm on the look out for shoes that are total comfort and don't look too bad for casual use. Thanks for this review, good info.

  6. As one who has sensitive feet, I rejoice any time I find a shoe that seems custom made for me. It explains why I have purchased six pairs of the same pair of shoes over the past few years! I'm glad you shared something that works so well for you. I'm sure others will want to try this brand and style.
