View from the Top
Here are several photos I took from on top of the 48 foot lighthouse. The first is the lens that can be seen for 12 nautical miles.

What gorgeous pictures you have of the Portsmouth Lighthouse.I've visited several lighthouses myself but never made it to this one. And never took such beautiful pictures either.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun trip. A visit to your family and a trip to a lighthouse. Gorgeous photographs, as always.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised this is your granddaughters' first lighthouse. How cool that it's located near where they now live! Nice that you're carrying on the lighthouse tradition with them. Beautiful pictures, interesting history.
ReplyDeleteAs much as you love lighthouses, I know this had to be a gloriously wonderful day for you! How wonderful that you were able to be with your granddaughters the first time they toured a lighthouse. And, what a wonderful memory for them too. I am sure they will cherish it for their entire lifetime.
ReplyDeleteI love the tours I can take of faraway lighthouses thanks to you. Beautiful places and beautiful lighthouse.
ReplyDeleteWell I didn't know there was a Portsmouth in New Hampshire, when I saw the title I thought you'd been to England to explore more lighthouses! It looks like a gorgeous lighthouse, but then (like you) I do love lighthouses!
ReplyDeleteI've only toured one lighthouse. I never seem to have opportunities to take any tours near here. Your granddaughter looks like she'd really having fun. You got some great shots from the top of the lighthouse. But you always get great shots of and from lighthouses.
