Not many individuals would be able to so lyrically and potently deliver a memoir like this while fighting for their lives. To have such clarity of purpose, and prose, is truly astonishing.Renaissance Womanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04042573630039646414noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1874262419752354657.post-26513351200753431352017-10-22T23:47:34.510-05:002017-10-22T23:47:34.510-05:00Absolutely adding this to my list of books and gif...Absolutely adding this to my list of books and gifts. Better yet, it would have been wonderful during those years she was healthier and kept saying, "I don't know why the Lord leaves me here so long." What's so strange is that when she got the news he was only giving her eight more weeks she figured out she didn't really want to leave after allBarbRadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15899642277679265680noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1874262419752354657.post-35869704411336551112017-10-20T08:02:54.175-05:002017-10-20T08:02:54.175-05:00Fantastically written review! At one point I asked her if she was going to write about her cancer journey because I knew Susan had much to teach us all. I'm thankful for what I learned from her over the years. I once heard it said, if you know how to live, then your know how to die. It stems from the knowledge that your soul is immortal. Susan certainly knew her soul is immortal and she truly showed us how to live. She walked through this last year of illness with grace and assurance. Mostly, mom spent time with her friends (doing things that she loved). Despite the three cancers, I think she had a good quality of life right up to the end.Renaissance Womanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04042573630039646414noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1874262419752354657.post-2209325400167277022017-10-19T07:16:53.146-05:002017-10-19T07:16:53.146-05:00Thanks for a wonderful review. Years ago when my mom got her diagnosis and we were told that she might have 6 months with us, we talked about what to do with the time left. Does one just give up? Should you let the anger take a tight grip on your soul?
