If you've always loved Play-Doh, monsters and/or Halloween, Kenner's Count Creepyhead and Friends Play-Doh set is one you should own. It allows you to create your favorite monster faces and includes four masks representing Dracula or a vampire, a werewolf or the wolfman, a mummy and an evil countess, villain or queen.
The set includes the figure or body, his hair, a cape and the four masks referenced above. It is recommended for individuals aged 3 and up and is marked set number 24210 with the UPC code 076281242101.
Here's the original television commercial for the set:
And here's a review by Mike Mozart from The Toy Channel on YouTube. Mike does a great job of reviewing the toy in action and of making you want to own the set.
Unfortunately, it is a vintage 1984 playset, which means it is retired, rare and expensive. What is it worth today? The price does vary and I have seen a new set sell for $399 but today's results are somewhat lower than that and, of course, you can find used sets for considerably less. See for yourself what the Count Creepyhead and Friends Play-Doh set is valued at today by clicking here to eBay.
What an great addition to a Play-doh or Halloween-themed toy collection!
Happy Haunting!

What a fun Play-Doh set for Halloween. Back when my children were small and loved playing with Play-Doh, I had no idea there were Holiday-themed and specialty sets with accessories available. I have really enjoyed learning about them through your Play-Doh series of reviews.
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me, Elf, that Play-Doh has missed the pumpkin. They don't have many Halloween-themed sets though they do sometimes release sets of Halloween-colored Play-Doh clay.
DeleteI’m amazed that people are willing to pay nearly $400 for a vintage Play-Doh set! But this one looks really cool for Halloween. I can imagine how much fun it would be to create these iconic monsters for Halloween decor.
ReplyDeletePlay-Doh should reissue it because we know Halloween enthusiasts would LOVE to buy it.
DeleteWow I can’t believe the price today; to think we had these in abundance back in the day
ReplyDeleteI am not sure who is buying this Play-Doh set -- people who had it as a child and are nostalgic for that set and that time or people who just love everything Halloween. I do know it would be extremely popular if it were available at retail now.
DeleteI do love creative Play-doh playsets! What a great Halloween toy that would be a lot of fun. So sad that it is not still being manufactured.
ReplyDeleteI love Play-Doh too, but this is out of my price point. I'm sure there is lots of play time with this and Halloween just around the corner too!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun. However, I think a basic play doh set with one's own creativity will work just as well, and there will be money for treats, a movie, etc.!
