I've read a lot from this author, and even met her at Book Expo one year. I stock a lot of her books, meaning I still have a bunch here as part of the inventory I have to get rid of when I have time. I have not yet read all of them. I couldn't help but wonder if Janette Oke had a child in her life at the time she wrote the book to use as inspiration and to help develop the character. I could easily imagine the though process described in the book, but I doubt I would ever have remembered enough about childhood thoughts to write an actual book.Sylvestermousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13690700963857028874noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1874262419752354657.post-46564809276329572202015-10-16T09:27:55.687-05:002015-10-16T09:27:55.687-05:00"I hated to see it end" is probably the ..."I hated to see it end" is probably the best compliment anyone can pay to a book. I really need to make some time to read this. Of course the author is classic and I know this is a well-loved series. Thanks for whetting my appetite! Children have a unique perspective on life, which we tend to forget when we 'grow up'. :)Wednesday Elfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11125647693828663780noreply@blogger.com
